Barndominium Builder — Custom Metal Building Homes
Turnkey Barndominium Construction from Foundation to Luxury Finishes

Service Overview
A barndominium (or "barndo") is a steel-framed building that combines the durability and open-plan flexibility of a metal structure with the comfort and style of a custom home. Unlike kit builders who drop off materials and leave, Plumb Level Construction is a full-service licensed General Contractor (CGC1516042). We handle everything: site clearing, engineered foundations, steel erection, spray foam insulation, full interior build-out, and luxury finishes.
Whether you want a 1,200 sq ft weekend retreat or a 5,000+ sq ft forever home with a shop, we engineer every barndo for local wind loads, climate, and building codes. Serving Lake City, North Florida, and South Georgia since 1984. One contractor, one contract, one point of accountability.

Common Questions
How long does it take to build a barndominium?
Most barndominiums take 4-8 months from permit approval to move-in, depending on size and finish level. Steel erection is significantly faster than traditional framing.
Can I finance a barndominium?
Yes. Many lenders now offer construction-to-permanent loans for barndominiums. We can refer you to lenders experienced with metal building home financing.
Do barndominiums hold their value?
Absolutely. As barndos become more mainstream, appraisers and lenders increasingly treat them like traditional homes. Quality construction and finishes are key.
Can I add a shop or garage to my barndo?
Yes — that's one of the biggest advantages. We frequently build barndos with attached workshops, RV bays, equipment storage, or multi-car garages under the same roof.
Do you build barndominiums in Georgia?
Yes. We serve South Georgia communities including Valdosta, Waycross, Tifton, Douglas, and more. Contact us to discuss your project location.
